ProcureCon Europe 2016 recap
Hundreds of procurement professionals came together in Berlin, Germany from November 8-10 for networking, education and problem solving at ProcureCon Europe 2016. ProcureCon Europe provides attendees with high quality content, and interactive sessions to challenge, rethink and improve their existing procurement strategies. At the event, participants heard from everybody from fortune 500 CPOs to out-of-the-box innovators on how to strengthen supplier negotiations, incorporate new technology tools into their solutions mix and staff teams for maximum results.
If you visited our booth you likely saw Advito Vice President Jeroen Hurkmans and Senior Managing Consultant Claire Ollivier showcasing our latest dashboards. The technology is part of our Dynamic Performance Management offering, designed to break your program free of the sourcing cycle and provide monthly insights with industry trends, program risks and opportunities.
Outside of our booth, in the educational sessions, we noticed a few recurring issues that this years’ ProcureCon was focused on solving. Of course, “traditional” procurement goals were represented, and bottom line savings was a focus of many sessions. However, there was also a push for a focus on innovation, with plenty of sessions dedicated to technology and how continuous technological breakthroughs will disrupt the business environment, both positivity and negatively. But perhaps the biggest and most challenging pain point discussed was achieving high quality communication and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. From the use of emotion in business relationships, to hiring and training the right people for the job, each speaker came with their own solution to these complex issues. Whether you are just beginning to feel the pain of these problems, or all of them are deeply rooted in your company, Advito is here to help you work through and overcome them.
