Global Practice Area Lead, Traveler Engagement
Kelly Ellis grew up in a small town in Northern California, learning early on the importance of customer service -being the fourth generation in a family-owned shoe store, selling shoes after school and on weekends. Attending California State University, Monterey Bay, Kelly received a degree with honors in International Business with an emphasis in marketing and Japanese in 2001.
While her past job titles have varied (marketing manager, product development and research, parks and recreational programming, graphic design, event planning, retail sales, etc.), her personal and professional goals have always revolved around customer relations, project management, marketing and development. Kelly’s strong customer service background has allowed her to reinforce the standards and commitment to marketing quality products through consistency and knowledge in each of the industries she has worked.
For nearly six years Kelly has worked with travel managers to identify program opportunities and develop marketing strategies aimed to engage travelers throughout the buying process. She develops robust digital marketing and communication strategies which lead to improved cost savings, compliance and satisfaction. Kelly’s traveler engagement strategies are tailored to meet client needs and follow company brand guidelines and tone of voice.
Outside of work, Kelly has served on numerous boards in the states of Tennessee, Nevada and California, including executive board positions with the Junior League of Reno and Knoxville, Nevada Park & Recreation Society and CSU Monterey Bay College of Business Alumni Board. Kelly and her husband split their time between east Tennessee and northern Nevada/California, where they stay very busy participating in year-round activities, including; camping, fishing, skiing, wakeboarding, traveling, bowling, softball, attending sporting events and spending time with family.
